Acquiring knowledge is a choice. Knowledge is not only power; it is the golden parachute to your life’s canvas. We, as artists, should neither be starved nor obese by the knowledge that will power us through. You have heard the phrase “garbage in, garbage out.” So now I ask you artist…With what are you fueling your mind, body, and soul? Hopefully not garbage. Is your life’s purpose fuel tank filled with a premium blend of: philosophy, art, macronutrients (proteins, carbohydrates and good fats), inspiration, love, collaboration, meditation and a heap of spirituality?
Living in America opportunities abound. The challenge is in following your owner’s manual to properly fuel a healthy mind, body and soul. Obesity is an epidemic as a result of excess and inactivity which leads to being unproductive and unhealthy. It’s important that we are not overindulging in any one area of this triad. What we take in must be shared out, for it is the impetus behind our brush strokes on our life’s canvas. Yet we need to be cognizant of what we’re putting in, because it will inevitably come out as a stroke of truth on our canvas. Garbage in, garbage out?
We were put on this earth to be productive, and make an impact. We as artists cannot accomplish our purpose if we are starved for knowledge, or if we have allowed obesity to creep into our lives, clogging the arteries of our mind, body, and soul triad. It’s not simply what we know…it’s what we do with what we know. Exercise your right to chase the right knowledge, fuel your purpose tank, and paint your Mona Lisa. How’s your canvas looking?
