Whether we have a plan or not, it seems like things just happen. For those of us with a plan when things happen (good or bad) that take us on a detour from our desired destination this can evoke a series of emotions. However, as I have gained more experience, I’m realizing that it’s in the detours, the valleys, and the unexpected but awesome peaks of random blessings, it’s really not about what happens to us, it’s about our attitude during the detour.
Realizing that our life is a puzzle (thanks Jamie Roberts!) or as I like to call it a mosaic, it’s important for us to stop asking, “why is this happening to me?” and start embracing the moment, because each one matters. While the detour may not make sense today, if you have been paying attention, once the puzzle is complete or the mosaic is proudly displayed you’ll have one of those “A ha!” moments.
Enjoy the detour because…You are exactly where you’re supposed to be right now, in this moment.
Happy Weekend!
